Project Overview: Broadway is New York’s most unconventional street—cutting diagonally across Manhattan and stitching together the city’s most iconic squares, neighborhoods, and landmarks. Far more than a shopping boulevard or theater district, it is a living tapestry of offices, residences, parks, and cultural hotspots. To capture its essence, a study was conducted by walking the entire length of Manhattan exclusively along Broadway, the city’s longest street. Hotspots were documented with a focus on pedestrian traffic and tourist destinations, revealing the pulse of urban life. The journey from Marble Hill at 225th Street to the South Ferry Terminal was completed in a record 6 hours, 20 minutes, and 46 seconds.
